Story and context
30 x30 cm flatbed AV white ink texture printed (the very first prototype) of Nathaniel Vegh's Temples of AI series of phygital paintings
Before Mid Journey, before Grok Imagine, there was one of the earliest OG Proprietary AI Artists: Nathaniel Vegh.
He coded his own neural networks and utilized his own datasets to create his Temples of AI series of phygital works, including this piece "Ghostly Figures by the Lake".
This phygital piece is the first one printed using a flatbed AV white ink printer and resides in the Art Strategy Foundation Collection in the studio gallery in Chengdu, as part of the core collection of over 200+ works of art and growing.
Nate was trained by a disciple of Xu Bei Hong, has won 17 international art awards, including an artistic Gold Medal awarded at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the 2018 Golden Panda International Design Award for his proprietary style GANs and neural networks.
He also built the world's first AI Perpetual Painter on a custom-rigged 360 degree, touch capable spherical display for the 2019 Chengdu Design and Creativity Week, housed in an experiential theater.
He built the AI tools used by platforms in China for their users before the generic tools of the day even came out.
He is also the creator and founder of Eternal Gardens and the MemoryCraft Agentic AI Engine.
