"The Early Explorers" was a showcase painting by Matt Vegh, painted in the 5th Floor Art Studio above the Chapel in the historic Mont St. Clare buidling in Clinton, Iowa, for his "Vintage Collection" Exhibition that he held over the holiday season in the Cortona Art Gallery, during a time while he was visiting his sons at the Confucius International Six Arts Park. The painting was also on the center table for the institution's inaugural graduation ceremony. Then it returned with Matt Vegh to Chengdu and was purchased by a repeat collector.
