Son of Galactica was part of a group of sales from 939th through 946th that Matt Vegh made on a round-the-globe business trip in late 2024, as posted on his WeChat December 5th, 2024. This piece went out to a core holder in Matt Vegh's Web3 Confluence Universe and was actually cut from one of his earliest major works of art, called Galactica, which headlined his very first solo exhibition: the Hidden Gem Exhibition held in the Spring of 2017 at the very prestigious Chengdu IFS. The piece had traveled with Matt Vegh to Clinton Iowa from Chengdu, when Matt Vegh was visiting his sons at the Confucius International Six Arts campus. It was first shown as a resized work in the Cortona Art Gallery in the historic Mont St. Clare building in December 2019 and then made its way to the artist's brother's home in Columbus Ohio where it remained in storage until 2024, when Matt returned to Columbus, found it in storage, sold it and shipped it to the collector.
