Story and context
Five tracks recorded the year after I left the trainee system. The demos were cut in a rented room near Jiuyanqiao with one condenser mic and a lot of stubbornness.
My first EP. Five songs, no budget, a producer I had just met (K哥) who kept saying the choruses were too long. He was right about two of them. The title track is the only one I still play live; the others I love the way you love old photos, with one eye closed.
What I learned: a song has to survive with one guitar. If it does not, no arrangement will save it.
