50 x 50 oil, metallic acrylics and sand on ink wash paper fused to board with floral abstract overlay, layered ink wash Mosaic tiles and hand carved relief medallion
King of the Boreal Forest was created in Matt Vegh's Qingyang Studio for his Nov 14th, 2026 Exhibition "Resonance - Traces of Things" Curated by Wei Han at the Wei Han Art Gallery in Xinjin China. Part of Matt Vegh's Canada Wildlife series, this work features a newly created custom hand carved Moose relief medallion that is one of a kind. It is also differentiated from Matt Vegh's earlier Mosaic overlaid works in the series because it does not have the cross Mosaics touching the center medallion.
