Story and context
22 x 56 cm - oil and metallic acrylic on ink wash paper fused to board
This piece was painted in the 5th floor art studio above the Chapel in the historic Mont St. Clare building, during Matt Vegh's tenure as Head the Six Arts program at the Confucius International Six Arts Park in Clinton Iowa, the former Ashford University Campus and former convent of the Sisters of St. Francis. It was first exhibited in the main floor gallery of the Mont St. Clare building in December of 2019. It then went into storage at the artist's brother's home in Columbus Ohio due to a fast move necessitated by the Covid pandemic and the artist's return to China. It remained there until 2024, when the artist was first able to return to the United States to visit his brother and the painting was then taken out of storage and sold to a collector in Indiana.
