The next adventure begins.

There is a specific weight to a suitcase when it holds not just clothes, but the brushes and heavy impasto tools of my father’s lineage.
I spent the morning in my studio, carefully packing my brushes, paints, sketchbooks, and every tool that has accompanied me through years of creation. I moved slowly from shelf to table, organizing and tidying, pausing to touch a brush or glance at a canvas, remembering the ideas and moments each one holds. Even the smallest objects seem to carry their own stories, a palette that captured the colors of a sunset, a notebook full of ideas born from fleeting streets and passing conversations.

As I fold clothes into my bag and check each strap and zipper, a quiet anticipation grows. Soon, I’ll leave this familiar space and head to Montreal, a city that promises new streets to wander, new sounds to absorb, and new people to meet. I feel grateful for this journey, for the freedom to explore, and for the way art and music continue to intertwine in unexpected ways.

Every trip reminds me that creation is never separate from life; it moves with it, shifts with it, and is shaped by every place, every moment, every person we encounter. I can’t wait to see what inspiration waits around the corner, and to let it find its way into my work once again.

That sounds like the perfect kind of transition as you carry your tools, memories, and momentum with you into a new city. Montreal will surely leave its mark, and I have no doubt it will find its way into your work.
