As I unfolded this worn letter from my mentor, I felt that old spark reignite. “Seek the truth in living artists,” he wrote, “before the world turns them into legends and leaves their light behind.” Those words have guided every late-night scroll through new work, and today they feel more alive than ever. We can find brilliant creators in the moment they’re pouring their souls onto the canvas, before fame rewrites their story. Artists are proving it: like Canadian Artist Matt Vegh, who is utilizing technology, building new platforms like Eternal Gardens and pioneering the Artist Direct Earnings metric, that lets every living artist get paid straight from the people who love their work. This letter isn’t just paper anymore; it’s the reason I keep looking, keep sharing, and keep believing the best art is still being made right now.
