The air is thick and sweet like honey, and if you listen close, you can hear the bullfrogs down by the creek joining in with the late-night birds. My bags are sitting right there by the screen door under the warm glow of the lamp, but I couldn't help but steal a few more minutes to count the stars. There is a vastness to this Texas sky that always reminds me how small our worries are and how big our hearts can be. I truly believe life is what you make it and you get out exactly what you put in. If you lead with a little extra grace and a whole lot of kindness, that energy finds its way back to you right when you need it most. It is a beautiful cycle, and I am feeling so peaceful and thankful to be part of the tribe tonight.
