The Hierophant

The Garden Hierophant is a robed teacher seated between two grey pillars, the structure of a tradition and the gateway into it. He raises one hand in greeting, offering guidance that has been handed down. At his feet lie crossed golden keys, access to knowledge that study can unlock, and two students sit before him, learning side by side. His triple crown speaks of wisdom that joins mind, heart and body, and his red and white garments balance conviction with clarity. Upright

The Hierophant is the card of transmission: knowledge, values and practices that pass from one person to another through teaching, shared custom and community.
